Dr. Sharmini Long
MD Endocrinologist
Dr Sharmini Long is double board certified in Endocrinology and Obesity Medicine. As a thyroid cancer survivor herself, she personally understands how many patients feel. Dr Long treats the full spectrum of endocrine disorders and has a special interest in thyroid, pituitary and adrenal disorders. She is skilled in thyroid ultrasound and in-office ultrasound guided thyroid biopsy. Dr Long believes in working side-by- side with her patients to improve their health and educate them on how to best take care of themselves. This team approach, patient and physician, is the backbone of her practice. Her patients appreciate her warm personal demeanor and her willingness to listen. Dr Long’s interest in whole person health has led to a cohost position with the television series Lifestyle Magazine. In her free time, she enjoys the Colorado outdoors with her husband and three sons. Dr. Sujata Wagh
MD, FACE, ECNU
Dr Wagh has been practicing Endocrinology since 2005. She is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She is also certified by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology with ECNU (Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound) to perform diagnostic ultrasound evaluations of Thyroid and Parathyroid disorders and ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration. Her interests include, Thyroid and Parathyroid disorders (especially Thyroid Nodules, Thyroid Cancer and Primary Hyperparathyroidism), PCOS, Adrenal disorders, Pituitary disorders, Osteoporosis and Type 1 /Type 2 Diabetes. Dr Wagh believes in a patient tailored approach in the management of Endocrine disorders as each patient is unique in their own way. She also feels that patient education is very critical. If patients understand and participate in the diagnosis and therapeutic decision making, their compliance will be much improved in achieving therapeutic goals. Dr. Joshua Long
MD Bariatric Surgeon
Dr. Josh Long is a board certified bariatric surgeon. Recognizing that surgery is not the right choice for everyone, he also obtained board certification in medical weight loss therapy. He is nationally recognized for his high quality surgical care as a bariatric surgery site reviewer and as a co-author on the national obesity algorithm. He uses good communication, team collaboration, and a patient centric focus. Because he believes in meeting every patient at their greatest point of need, he emphasizes full spectrum bariatric care. His philosophy of care is to truly invest in his patient’s best long-term outcome whether surgical, non-surgical, or a combination approach.
Dr. Nina Le
MD Endocrinologist
Dr. Nina Le is board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Her practice encompasses adult endocrinology and sees patients in all aspects of endocrinology including type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, adrenal disorders and osteoporosis. She has extensive experience in thyroid ultrasound and bedside fine-needle biopsies after her training at The University of Pennsylvania. Dr Le’s philosophy of care focuses on taking the time to understand your health concerns and working together to develop a plan to optimize your health. She believes in providing you with the knowledge to make evidence-based treatment decisions to reach your health goals. Dr Le moved to Denver in 2017 and in her spare time has been enjoying exploring Colorado with her husband and three children. Melissa VanSickel
Physician Assistant
Melissa VanSickel graduated with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois. She practiced in primary care for 8 years before joining Dr. Long and Dr. Wagh in their Endocrinology Practice. Melissa was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in childhood and has a passion not only for the treatment and care of diabetic patients but for endocrinology in general. In her free time Melissa loves spending time with her husband and daughter. She enjoys travel and spending time in the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
Tamra Srianant
MPAS, PA-C
Tamra earned her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and American Society of Endocrine Physician Assistants. She comes to our practice from Texas and brings over five years of endocrinology experience. Tami has a passion for management of insulin pumps and CGMS interpretation as well as counseling patients regarding weight management and diabetic diet. She also treats patients with a wide range of endocrine conditions including PCOS, osteoporosis, thyroid disease, calcium and parathyroid disorders. She has proficiency in medical Spanish due to her work in central California with the National Health Service Corps. Her favorite part of endocrinology is developing a rapport with her patients and empowering them to better understand their health. When she is not practicing medicine, she enjoys hiking, long distance running, archery and yoga. She also enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her family and their tabby cat Bean.
